Shooting High at Bullseye

Here's an exciting, not-your-run-of-the-mill date: go target shooting.

Whether you're a stay at home mom, working part time, or working full time out of the house and still juggling the demands of mommyhood, every woman needs a break. With that idea in mind, we've begun running what will be a new weekly feature dubbed "The Great Escape." Best part: You don't have to go far to get far away from it all. Every one of these adventures is right here in San Rafael!

Here's one idea for a very non-run-of-the-mill date:

Bullseye Shooting Range is an indoor shooting range in San Rafael where they offer classes for continued training for local law enforcement agencies. They also have beginner classes and basic safety. You can bring your own gun and ammunition, rent or buy theirs.  I've been there a bunch of times with my husband and it's awesome. The staff is super-knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Tell them you're a first time shooter (I was) and they'll go to extra lengths to make sure you're safe and have fun. Bonus: They have ladies night every Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. where ladies can rent and shoot for free!

It would be nice if the comments section had "Thumbs up / Thumbs down" like the PressRead More Democrat.

We have been to Pet Emergency a few times with various animals over the years, and they areRead More absolutely FANTASTIC! Top quality medical care, and a very caring and compassionate staff. I can't say that I look forward to going there (sick pets are always difficult), but I am sure glad they are here for us when we need them!
