I'm a Bay Area native who fell in love with journalism while attending U.C. Berkeley. After graduating I worked in Spain and then on the Mexican border before returning home to cover San Rafael for the Marin Independent Journal.
As  a technology and venture capital reporter for the San Francisco Business Times,I broke stories and won awards for pieces on clean technology, innovation and small business. I am currently a freelance writer whose work has appeared in Fast Company, the Silicon Valley Business Journal and other publications. I live in El Cerrito with my husband, three children and two emperor scorpians.
