The organization provides a wide range of services and programs, focusing on low-income to no-income families and individuals who are homeless or close to being homeless. Some programs offered include one-on-one case management, medical clinic care, food pantry distribution, free clothing as well as seasonal programs. Additional programs include the day service center, which provides hygiene supplies, restrooms and laundry. Voyager Carmel Center

Voyager Carmel Center began serving people with persistent mental illness in 1987 at the former Carmel Hotel in SanMore Rafael, now called the Voyager Carmel Center. Homeward Bound also focuses on permanent solutions to homelessness by providing long-term transitional and permanent housing for families and adults.

Voyager Carmel Center offers 36 beds in individual rooms, with 10 of these beds reserved for residents staying one to four months. The remaining 26 beds provide long-term housing for people who otherwise would face homelessness. The center includes a 24-hour staff, communal kitchen and regular community activities such as group outings, Sunday brunch and holiday events. All formerly homeless residents in this program are referred to Homeward Bound by Marin County Community Mental Health Services.
