The convent of the Dominican Sisters sits on the campus of Dominican University of California, which the sistersMore founded in 1890. Though the university and convent remain separate now, the convent building sits at the heart of the school. 

The convent was built with room for 22 sisters, or nuns, to live and preach the path of St. Dominic. The focus of the sisters of San Rafael is on study and service. The sisters also take a vow of poverty and chastity.

The public is welcome to attend mass.

Santa Sabina Center

Built in the 1930s, the Santa Sabina Center is a beautiful retreat and conference center featuring a chapel, gardenMore and some basic rooms. Owned and operated by the Dominican Sisters of San Rafael, this location was opened to all faiths in 1970. The accommodations can support up to 58 guests.
