these elitists think nothing of impacting other people's lives when they fly into town, close blocksRead More and blocks on their own say, block numerous roads etc. The security THEY have afforded themselves (all on the taxpayers dime) is truly absurd and frankly it is out of control. But most people seem willing to tolerate this behavior (or just don;t give a damn) so the politicians see that as a green light to continue their abusive ways. How dare them create their own royalty. I am so sick of Obama and wish he would stay the hell out of the bay area. He is the worst president we have ever had.

Joe, I have the same concerns as you, so I checked up on scheduling. There's a 70 which leavesRead More Mission @ 1st at 12:52 am during the week and runs through Sausalito. Same on weekends. So at least there's one option currently, and if they eliminate the 80 route, they may shift a couple more 70s through Sausalito.

In Novato we are slated by TAM and MTA to expand our capacity to handle multiple bus transfersRead More simultaneously at the bus stop on Redwood between DeLong and Grant. The cost is $4 million. If we continue to reduce bus routes won't their be fewer buses transferring at one time? If as Patti suggests buses are overcrowded why would the Bridge District want to make it unpleasant to take a bus by reducing routes? Is the Bridge district working with TAM and MTA to align different services, changes and upgrades to public transportation throughout the Bay Area? It doesn't make sense to reduce routes but expand capacity.

In my uneducated opinion our City Council WANTS--Hi Density Train and Bus Terminal--so that our HiRead More Density housing numbers--mandated by the State via ABAG--wil Go UP---in the next "Housing Element" go round. They want to please ABAG---they refuse to answer my simple question "Why do YOU want a bus terminal with the capacity to carry half the population of Novato in a single 8 hour day"---They will not answer that question--they defer to the man with two first names--and he doesn't know the capacity and doesn't care what it is--he mocks public speakers and gives cryptic off the cuff untrue answerer's----his answer once was--"Be careful who you listen too"---"Don't use scare tactic's like hi capacity"---When the "source" of the info was pointed out to him ( his consultant)--he said--"Hi capacity doesn't matter-lots of vehicles can go down a road"---I would think that if he knows the capacity and hides it --veracity is an issue and f he doesn't know the capacity (which he didn't) then competence is an issue---and for his salary and cost to YOU and I--he should know the answer if called on or defer to someone brighter.

Why are these drivers allowed to speed all over the place, and how would they even entertain theRead More thought when they are doubled-tandemed!!!! So dangerous..CalTrans and the CHP should make some changes. There are states where double-tandems are not allowed!

Skateboard park--Novato--Has anyone seen the skate park in Santa Barbara?--Or any town beyondRead More Novato?--Ours looks like a prison--their is no real audience accommodations--o yeah there are benches but you cannot see the riders from the benches---and right next to the homeless encampment---nice place to send your pre teen---great influences there!--0Let's see whgo thought that that site was a good location? Don't want anything like that near down town--might attract innocent preteens and teens and ado9lescents--and they might be able to get there without a Taxi--and they might increase sales of the downtown merchants--wouldn't want that--nop no make it look like Folsom Prison--then they will come ---right!!!!

If we are going to safely increase bicycle riding in our downtown area we need to teach all our kidsRead More (including the ones old enough to know better) to follow road rules... All day long I see adults riding bikes that fails to stop at stop signs, red lights or crosswalks. Now we have children doing the same in the downtown area. ============================================ On Friday, I was coming out of the side street near La Hacienda to make a left onto Grant. I was creeping along because traffic on Grant was backed up and suddenly three groups of kids (late elementary age) whizzed by on bikes ridden on the sidewalk! It was by the grace of God that I didn't hit any of them because I couldn't see them and the groups were far enough apart that I couldn't even guess they were headed my way. Parents, please teach children bicycle safety rules and then follow them yourselves. ============================================ Novato has been discussing Streetscape design for North Redwood Blvd. It includes dedicated bike paths alongside pedestrian paths. If we don't begin enforcing laws with respect to bicycles, cars and pedestrians all on the same streets, people will get hurt or killed. FYI a bicycle is considered a vehicle by the PD and if it is not following the rules of the road in an accident with a car the car or the pedestrian are deemed blameless. When bikes are driven like there are no rules everyone is put in danger. ============================================= While I don't believe riding bikes to work is going to take enough traffic off the freeway to significantly reduce CO2 emissions, I do believe we all need to respect the rules of the road to remain safe.

Thank you, Tina.....everyday I drive so defensively with the children out of school......theRead More parents need to teach their children about bicycle safety.....everyone's life would change in an instant if there was an accident. Also, to add to the issue, car drivers are taking stupid chances by running stop signs, speeding and being distracted by cell phones....not a good combination. And why are these grown ups riding their bikes on the sidewalk? I was at Marvin's eating outside when 3 bike riders whizzed behind me, almost hitting me from behind. Where are the police, who should be handing out tickets?

It's scary in town and on the freeway. I was driving to San Rafael and saw a woman in a convertibleRead More Z3 writing in a notebook as she was driving 60 miles an hour. Attn: Mr. R. Terry Date: Monday June 09, 2014 It is because of gamblingRead More that some horses and bulls lose their lives. When horses continue to have a losing streak the owner is not making any cash off that horse, it is off to the Glue Factory with that horse. Bulls will die automatically in a Bull Fight after the Matador sticks both swords in the bull's throat from the left and right side of the bull. Great to know that our beaches “Have 'Outstanding' Water Quality” Unfortunatly, TheRead More Marin Water dept has been dumping a toxic waste product: Hydrofloursilisic acid, Tied to numerous health issues including thyroid failure, arthritis and lower I.Q. s in children, into our drinking water. It’s time for all citizens to educate themselves on this practice and demand a stop to it! (Watch: Fluoride, Cease and Desist on Youtube).

It’s time to address the elephant in the room: For decades the Marin Water Dept. Has beenRead More adding a toxic waste bi-product, (Hydrofluorosilisic acid) To our drinking water supply, (Technically a Felony!). This “Fluoride” has been linked to many health issues including thyroid failure, cancers and lower IQs in children. Time to demand they stop this!
