Fall Festival at Hidden Valley Elementary

10 a.m.,  Hidden Valley Elementary School, 46 Green Valley Court, San Anselmo

“Hidden Valley Elementary School will host its first annual Fall Festival event and fundraiser on Saturday, October 12th.  To be enjoyed by families with kids of all ages, the Fall Festival will feature a variety of games with fun prizes, bouncy houses and structures, a Super Slide, face painting and hair spray, cake walk and treats, a haunted house, live music and food trucks.  Join the Hidden Valley Hawk community from 10 am to 4 pm.”

 

Marin Against Monsanto Demonstration

1 p.m., Red Hill Shopping Center, San Anselmo 

Marin County will stand with the world against Monsanto and its poisons on October 12 as part of the global March Against Monsanto. Join us! 

 

Interactive Art Festival

Biketoberfest-Marin 2013

11 a.m., FairAnselm Plaza, 765 Center Blvd. Fairfax

“It's bikes, beer and fun when the Marin County Bicycle Coalition and Access4Bikes presents Biketoberfest-Marin 2013, a festival, bike expo and brew fest in downtown Fairfax, Calif., the future home of the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame.”

 

Lob Cabin Fund Raiser 

6 p.m., 20 Veterans Place, San Anselmo  

The Log Cabin, a venerable meeting place for almost 80 years, is in need of some TLC. American Legion Post 179, and the Women’s Auxiliary Unit 179, which calls the Log Cabin home, are holding a fundraiser Oct. 12 from 6-10 p.m. to make repairs. The event will feature live music, food, silent auction and a screening of a film showing the building of the Log Cabin. Tickets are $35 per person and can be purchased online at Eventbrite / Log Cabin Fundraiser.

 

Sunday

Marin County Pride - Football Try-Outs

10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Novato

Must be 18 and over to Participate. Please wear a plain WHITE T-Shirt and Navy or Red Shorts ONLY to ALL try-outs. Must wear cleats.

 

Marin Waldorf School Children's Faire

10 a.m.,  755 Idylberry Road San Rafael

“Marin Waldorf School's Annual Children's Faire will be held on Sunday, October 13th from 10am-4pm.

“Bring the entire family for a day of magical games, puppet shows, crafts, organic food, and unique vendors.  Admission is free and we offer a free shuttle throughout the day!  Pick up the shuttle at the Hwy 101/Lucas Valley Park & Ride.”
