Pizzalina Dine Out Supports Ceres Marin

Pizzalina is hosting a Dine Out with 10 percent of the proceeds to benefit the Ceres Community Project of Marin which provides free healing meals prepared by local teens under a chef's supervision to those in Marin County dealing with a serious health crisis. Michael Grimm - Fairytale Tour

8 p.m., San Rafael

America’s Got Talent winner Michael Grimm will perform at the Fenix. “Michael Grimm charmed millions of viewers as he took first prize on season five of America’s Got Talent. He’s since toured with Stevie Nicks, and, with Grammy-winning producer Don Was (Rolling Stones, Elton John, B.B.King) released an album featuring Ann Wilson (Heart), Ian McLagan (Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, John Mayer), Davey Faragher (Elvis Costello, Cracker) and Greg Leisz (The Eagles). Kenny Aronoff played drums, with Waddy Wachtel on guitar.”

 

Thursday, Sept. 19

State of the Bolinas Lagoon Conference
6 p.m., Stinson Beach

Marin County Parks in partnership with the Bolinas Lagoon Advisory Council, Gulf of the Farallones National Marine Sanctuary, Golden Gate National Recreation Area, and Point Reyes National Seashore will be holding a conference on the State of Bolinas Lagoon. The conference will be on September 19, 2013, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at the Stinson Beach Community Center, 32 Belvedere Avenue, Stinson Beach, CA 94970.

At the Greenwood School, Patricia Ardziejewski will decode the ever-changing toddler and help parents understand the benefits of crying and how to appreciate the writhing child, all puffy eyed and gasping on the floor.

Hal Brown Park at Creekside: California Coastal Cleanup Day

Women's Council of Realtors-Marin 4th Annual Bocce Ball Tournament

10 a.m., San Rafael

The Women's Council of Realtors-Marin Chapter (WCR) presents the fourth annual Bocce Ball Tournament. Partial proceeds will go to Homeward Bound of Marin. Food and refreshments provided, along with bocce ball courts and tournament bracket (you can be as competitive or noncompetitive as you want).

 

Saturday, Sept. 21

Sale in Hospice Used Book Room at Book Passage Annex

9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Corte Madera

Shop Hospice by the Bay's Used Book Room, located in the Book Passage Annex, where the entire stock will be 50 percent off of already reduced prices. Choose from quality used fiction, mysteries, romances and children's books, plus used non-fiction on topics including cooking, biography, art, travel and self help. The Hospice Used Book Room is located at 51 Tamal Vista Blvd. in Corte Madera and open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. All proceeds benefit nonprofit Hospice by the Bay's programs and compassionate care services.

 

Marin Waldorf School's Rummage Sale at Marinwood Community Farmers Market

9 a.m., San Rafael 

The Marin Waldorf School is having a rummage sale at Marinwood Plaza. They will be offering up gently used clothing, Halloween costumes, snow clothes, books, toys, board games, puzzles, furniture, appliances, sporting equipment, household items, collectibles, baby items, electronics and more.
