Jazz and fitness instructor Susan Isaac Chavez combines her passion for dance with her dedication to health and fitness. Her goal is to inspire and encourage students at all levels to experience the joy of a strong, healthy body through music and movement.

Educational Lecture at Dominican College

When: 6 p.m.

Where: Dominican University, Priory Auditorium

William Cavanaugh, PhD, addresses the role of Catholics in American life and politics. Cavanaugh is professor of Catholic Studies and Senior Research Fellow at the Center for World Catholicism and Intercultural Theology at DePaul University. 

 

Wednesday

Inky Fingers Fine Art Print Sale

When: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Where: College of Marin Fine Arts Building, room 312

Original artwork by the students of Visual Arts Professor Tron Bykle will be on display and for sale just in time for holiday giving. The show includes a variety of works using print techniques including: etching, relief print, monotypes and monoprints.

 

 

Thursday

Branson High Girls Volleyball Playoffs

When: 7 p.m.

Where: College of Marin

Branson (30-6) will play Head-Royce of Oakland (22-7) in a North Coast Section Division V semifinal.

 

Dine Out to End Hunger

When: 5 p.m.

Where:  Insalata's Restaurant (120 Sir Francis Drake Blvd, San Anselmo)

Nine top restaurants will join Homeward Bound of Marin to offer “Dine Out to End Hunger,” an annual community fundraiser. The partner restaurants, led by Insalata’s and Marinitas in San Anselmo, will donate 20 percent of dinner revenue on that date toHomeward Bound.

 

 

Friday

Xbox One Midnight Launch Party

When: 10 p.m.

Where: Microsoft Store at The Village. (1640 Redwood Highway, Corte Madera)

The Xbox One launch party will showcase the latest Xbox One games like Ryse, Forza Motorsport 5, Dead Rising 3, and Killer Instinct.
