March 7th Tax Help Day
WHAT: On March 7, 2014, Enrolled Agent tax professionals from the North Bay Chapter of CSEA are volunteering their time to meet with members of the public and answer their tax questions for free.
This public service event will take place from 1 p.m to 5 p.m. at the Falkirk Cultural Center, 1408 Mission Avenue in San Rafael. In an effort to thank the community for its support, volunteer Enrolled Agents will not charge for answering questions on this day and will not prepare any returns, nor will they provide any written advice or bill anyone.
Enrolled Agents are tax professionals who are licensed by the federal government to represent taxpayers and assist them with tax planning and the preparation of tax returns. Unlike CPAs or attorneys, Enrolled Agents specialize in taxation itself. With the constant changes affecting the tax codes in California, it is imperative to use a tax professional who specializes in taxes.
