The Marine Mammal Center rescues and rehabilitates thousands of sick and injured marine mammals yearly. The Whale Bus will visit McNears Beach for hands-on experience with pelts and skulls and examples of marine debris to help people learn how they can help. Northgate’s third Annual Summer Concert Series, Concerts Under the Oak, is held in the Oak Plaza next to Kohl’s. A different regional band is showcased each month along with a different Northgate restaurant featuring a custom menu of items for purchase.  In addition, will have one of their signature beers available for $5 a glass for those 21 and over, and 25 percent of the proceeds from the food and beverage sales will be donated to local schools. A limited number of seats will be provided, but do encourage people to bring their own seating, too.

Aja Vu celebrates the music of Steely Dan with a show that features their most popular and danceable hits played with passion and precision. Now you can hear the songs you know and love played live......from "Hey 19" and "Reelin In The Years" to "Rikki Don't Lose That Number."

The Zydeco Flames have gained a reputation as the West Coast's premiere Zydeco band. The Flames consistently pack the house with their sizzling roots rhythms. Their show is timeless and their execution is relentless, with a stunningly powerful groove.

Celebrated for 16 years as Marin's lawn party for the arts and considered “one of the most beautiful out door art festivals in the nation,” the Marin Art Festival features work from over 200 artists from across the country who are eager to share their work and discuss their creative process. The festival is full of color and surprise and offers a unique line up of entertainment including whimsical stilt walkers, Taiko drumming and hands-on art projects for children.

The festival features two full days of live music from popular Bay Area musicians and dance performances on the Marin Dance Showcase Stage. See Music lineup below.  The festival is proud to announce that award winning Marin artist, Kathleen Lipinski, is the 2012 Marin Art Festival's Marin Master Artist.  Kathleen has been stunningly documenting the landscape of Marin for over 30 years. Stop by and visit her and her work at the Marin Art Festival this June.

Blues Singer Tia Carroll is a local sensation and award-winning singer. Tia Carroll is a blues, soul and R&B powerhouse who's toured internationally and now brings her talented back-up band Hard Work with her to perform at George's.
