New Head Planner for San Rafael

Paul Jensen has been selected as the replacement for Bob Brown as head of Community Development with the city of San Rafael.  Paul most recently has been a planning manager mentoring other planners within the city.  Paul came to San Rafael as a new planner in the 80's but was gone from much of the 90's running his own planning practice.  In post-2000 he rejoined the city as a senior planner.

Paul brings a unique skill set to the position.  He is extraordinarily competent and is knowledgeable about many facets of planning.  He is exceptionally customer oriented in his  approach.  He possesses a level of patience with people rarely seen by public servants.  But what makes him stand out is his respectful manner and gracious demeanor.

The city of San Rafael has made a great decision and the citizens should embrace Paul and support him in his new and challenging position.
