Freshman Cara Woods shines with two goals.

The Trojans went on the road, Tuesday afternoon and coasted past Novato 8-6, giving their bench some much needed pool time.

The difference in the match, according to MacLean was the superior experience for the lady Trojans.

"Our starting group simply has more experience," said MacLean. "They played in the summer, are strong ball handlers, and know the flow of the game. Experience is something you cannot fake and is invaluable."

The Trojans were able to score off several counter-attacks and capitalize on one-on-one opportunities.

The Trojans had a balanced attack with six players recording goals while freshman Cara Woods and Juliette Retornaz led the squad with two goals apiece.

The top six teams in the MCAL make the playoffs and the Trojans are looking forward to a match-up with Justin-Siena in two weeks, which will likely decide the 4th and 5th seeds. According to MacLean, Terra Linda is gunning for the four tournament seed.
