GAME SUMMARY: A miserable second quarter was too much to overcome as the Trojans' late rally fell just short in their Marin County Athletic League girls basketball loss to Tam.

Tam used its superior size, demonstrated best by the inside dominance of Jenna May (21 points), to take a 10-point lead after a tight first quarter.

REACTION: "The second quarter was rough," Terra Linda coach said. "That took us not completely out of the game, but it made it harder for us to come back. The way we played in the second half -- the energy, the enthusiasm, the get-after-it -- I love it when we play like that. But we'd spotted them 10 points."
And what exactly happened in the second quarter? "We couldn't put it in the ocean," Corby said. "We got the looks. We were all around the basket shooting and just couldn't finish. You have to do that in close games. ... They're bigger, but we have the quickness. Their bigness beat us tonight."
