How To Watch the Olympics Online

Live streaming is available free through the NBC Web site if you already have a cable subscription that includes CNBC and MSNBC.

The opening ceremonies of the 2012 Olympics in London took place at 1 p.m. Friday, California time, but it wasn't until primetime .

But many of us can watch it live - for free. Live streaming is available online through NBC's Live Extra, if you have a cable subscription that includes CNBC and MSNBC. Sign up is required to access the service, which is free of charge.

Here's how it works:

1. Click on the red button under "Watch the Olympics Live" on the Live Extra website.
2. When prompted, select your cable, satellite or telco TV provider (e.g. Comcast, Time Warner, DirecTV, AT&T) from a list.
3. Verify your TV subscription by entering the username/password corresponding to the online account you established with your provider.

A help section on the site provides FAQs and video instructions for streaming the 2012 Olympics live from London. The full live streaming schedule is available on the NBC Live Extra website.

It would be nice if the comments section had "Thumbs up / Thumbs down" like the PressRead More Democrat.

We have been to Pet Emergency a few times with various animals over the years, and they areRead More absolutely FANTASTIC! Top quality medical care, and a very caring and compassionate staff. I can't say that I look forward to going there (sick pets are always difficult), but I am sure glad they are here for us when we need them!
