Calm the mind and live more fully in the body with this gentle yoga class. Although yoga was developed in ancient India, people of all faiths have found that this body-centered meditation is a great way to improve health, quiet the mind, open the heart and deepen one’s spirituality. You don’t need to be flexible or have prior experience to benefit. A regular yoga practice can help you:

• develop focus, balance and coordination

• learn to be more present in daily life

• develop a body that is strong, flexible and less prone to injuries

• truly relax with time-tested relaxation techniques

 

Grier Cooper has been practicing and teaching yoga for more than 15 years. She has performed worldwide with Miami City Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet and San Francisco Ballet and writes about health and fitness for a variety of publications.

I can't say that I look forward to going there (sick pets are always difficult), but I am sure glad they are here for us when we need them!
