McInnis Park Clean-Up and Habitat Restoration

The friendly Rangers at McInnis Park will be leading a “Coastal Cleanup” of sensitive wildlife areas along Las Gallinas Creek and the well used recreational facilities of McInnis Park in San Rafael. Litter and invasive plant removal will improve park aesthetics and habitat for the endangered California Clapper Rail and numerous other wildlife species. Work will take place on generally flat and level ground and will be suitable for all ages and experience levels.We will provide gloves, litter grabbers, buckets and bags, environmental education, water and chili lunch.

What to bring: Sturdy shoes, layered clothing, sunscreen, a sunhat and a water bottle.

Volunteers 15 years old or younger must have a parent or legal guardian sign a parent permission form prior to beginning work.
