Marin Rod and Gun Club 1st Annual Golf Tournament

The Marin Rod & Gun Club in San Rafael is having their First Annual Golf Tournament and is being chaired by Phil Verdon and his friend, Paul Emmons.

This event is to raise funds to help restore the pier to its former glory. If you have driven over the Richmond/San Rafael Bridge you will have seen it. We are asking local businesses to donate $100-$250 for which you will get a mention in our newsletter and sponsor a hole with your company name and logo. But the real gain will be seeing the pier brought back to life.

If you play golf and would like to bring some friends along for a foursome, you will be most welcome. It will be held on May 16th at the San Geronimo Golf Course. This is a fantastic deal. There will be Shotgun Scramble, Prizes, Raffle Putting Contest, Nearest to the Hole and Longest Drive. You will get lunch, 18 holes of golf, Tri-Tip dinner and a golf shirt. You can buy your tickets at the club bar before May 2nd. This, like all of our events is open to members and guests but hurry sign-up ends May 2nd.

You can call the clubhouse at 415-456-8142 or email/phone Phil at rafgut19@aol.com telephone number 415-258-0335. You can also go to the club and buy tickets. Go to www.marinrodandgunclub.com for directions. The Club is in San Rafael.

It would be nice if the comments section had "Thumbs up / Thumbs down" like the PressRead More Democrat.

We have been to Pet Emergency a few times with various animals over the years, and they areRead More absolutely FANTASTIC! Top quality medical care, and a very caring and compassionate staff. I can't say that I look forward to going there (sick pets are always difficult), but I am sure glad they are here for us when we need them!
