Marin Conservation League's Walk Into (Conservation) History

Marin Conservation League's Walk Into
(Conservation) History series continues into the spring with our eleventh walk to beautiful China Camp State Park on Saturday, May 5, 9:30 am – 1:00 pm.

Coast Miwok, Chinese shrimp fishermen, hikers, equestrians, and mountain bikers all have enjoyed the bounty of San Pedro Peninsula.  But, 40 years ago, developers would have paved it over if not for a grass-roots rally to “Save San Pedro Peninsula!”  Now, China Camp will close July 1 unless the Friends of China Camp, with YOUR help, can rescue the Park.

On this Walk into (Conservation) History, Kathy Cuneo, Nona Dennis and Friends of China Camp will relate stories from the rich cultural history and talk about the Park’s wildflowers, grasslands, woodlands, and salt marshes that
create such rich biological diversity.
