Dixie-Terra Linda Little League All-Stars Named

Four teams representing the Dixie-Terra Linda Little League will begin District 3 All-Star play Saturday at sites throughout Marin County.

In the 11-12, 10-11 and 9-10 age divisions, the Dixie-Terra Linda representative will play six games over the course of the next two weeks in an effort to qualify for an eight-team, single-elimination tournament that will eventually determine the district champion.

The District 3 champion in the 11-12 division will continue down the long road to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pa., having also to win sectional and regional tournaments in order to advance to the nationally televised championships.

In the Junior Division, Dixie-Terra Linda will face each of the other five tournament entrants once in a round-robin format, with the top four advancing to a single-elimination tournament.

Here’s a capsule look at each of the Dixie-Terra Linda teams:

11-12-Year-Old All-Stars

Roster: Casey Armusewicz, Chris Perani, Chris Allen, Collin Martin, Dominic Marcaletti, Jack Hurley, Jared Hirigoyen, Kevin Quigley, Matthew Baker, Michael Davis, Nick Caravello, Sean Mckeogh.

Junior Division All-Stars

Coach Charles Rosso’s thoughts: “The team has been practicing together since June 15. Players have come together from the three Junior teams in the Dixie League. They have been working hard to get ready for the tournament.  They received their game uniforms (Thursday night) and you could really see the excitement level increase. The first game is Saturday and they will be ready to go.”

10-11-Year-Old All-Stars
