Branson High's girls' volleyball team apparently isn't taking
its first Marin County Athletic League loss in nearly three years lightly.
One of the county's most dominant programs in recent years extended its winning streak to four as the Bulls defeated San Marin 3-0 (25-9, 25-8, 25-13) in a Marin County Athletic League match on Oct. 11.
The Bulls (15-6, 7-1 MCAL) are unbeaten in 12 sets over that period since experiencing a 3-1 (25-22, 20-25, 25-23, 25-13) loss to Redwood on Sept. 27.
The loss to Redwood snapped a 35-match MCAL winning streak going back to 2010.
Grace Roberts-Burbank and Sarah Wallace each had 12 kills to lead Branson in the San Marin game.
Maddy Schoenberger, the Bulls' standout sophomore setter, had 42 assists.
Branson is scheduled to play at Terra Linda on Wednesday night (the match starts after a junior varsity match scheduled to start at 5:45 p.m.).
