Get Involved with Pop-Up Concerts for a Cause - Summer 2013

Host a Pop UP Concert in your home or office to support 5 great Bay Area non-profits!

You are all invited to participate in an exciting campaign that we're launching this summer called Pop-up Concerts for a Cause, Summer 2013. The campaign will empower musicians, fans, and businesses to host “Pop-up Concerts” (live music parties in their homes, backyards, offices, etc.) that raise money for local charities. We are organizing and promoting 50+ “Pop-up Concerts” between June 1 and September 30. This is a joint effort between Hear It Local, Local Music Vibe, Party Corps, and The Bay Area Music Collective. Proceeds from pop-up concerts will go directly to the following Bay Area non-profits:

  • Lyric provides job training and case management for at-risk LGBT youth in SF.
  • WOMAN, Inc. empowers domestic violence survivors to create lives free of violence.
  • 5 Gyres eliminates the accumulation of plastic pollution in the world’s oceans.
  • City Youth Now supports youth in the foster care and juvenile justice systems.
  • Bread & Roses provides free, live, quality shows to people who live in institutions or are otherwise isolated from society.
How do I participate as a musician?
  • First, you need to create a profile on Hear It Local (you can do this from the top of their website).
  • Once you've created an account, click here to opt-in to the campaign.
  • Once you opt-in, your profile will be featured on the campaign’s landing page so that event hosts can easily hire you for a benefit concert.
This is a great opportunity to support a good cause, be included in publicity around the campaign, and connect with fans in a powerful way. How do I participate as an event host, music venue, or partner of the campaign? Please contact Dave@localmusicvibe.com directly if you'd like to host a pop up concert in your home or workplace. Music venues, businesses, and house concert series are welcome to be recognized as "supporting partners” of the campaign.
