There will be a public hearing on solar heating for two swimming pools at Terra Linda and San Rafael high schools.

Tonight, the San Rafael City School Board will swear in three new student board members for the 2011 to 2012 school year.

The new members are Jessica Sanchez-Avalos from Madrone High School, Sarah Johnson from San Rafael High School and Will Henderson from Terra Linda High School.

There will also be a public hearing for the approval to use solar energy to heat the two swimming pools at and high schools. The SRCS district recently received a grant Foundation for Environmental Education and is applying for a grant from the Marin Community Fund to pay for the project.
