American historian, author and television personality Rick Steves, who is currently touring Europe, will return to Dominican on Nov. 10. The PBS TV host, an expert of European travel,  last appeared at Angelico Hall in 2007 after he wrote  "The Value of Travel  in Shaping A Global Perspective."  On this visit, Steves will speak about his book "Travel as a Political Act," regarding his field work in Europe, Central America and the Middle East and how to approach travel thoughtfully.

The fall series closes Nov. 17 when Sir Michael Caine, knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 2000 for recognition of his work in cinema, comes to Dominican. The 77-year-old English actor, one of only two actors to have been nominated for an Academy Award in every decade from the 1960s to 2000s, won Oscars for his roles in "Hannah and Her Sisters" and "The Cider House Rules."

Caine is writing a sequel to his autobiography, "What's It All About?". It is called "The Elephant to Hollywood."

Tickets for Caine's  engagement and a copy of his new book  are available at Book Passage at 51 Tamal Vista Blvd. in Corte Madera or by calling  927-0960 or logging onto www.bookpassage.com.
