Marin Academy Musicians Take Home Prize
Two students won prizes at the 44th High School Jazz Festival held in Boston.
jazz musicians took home prizes after their trip to the Berklee College of Music's 44th High School Jazz Festival in Boston.
Saxophonist Michael Blasky and keyboard player Tom Wilson won Outstanding Musicianship Awards at the festival, which included more than 3,000 students and 200 bands.
Bands from all over the country competed for $175,000 in scholarships in the five-week performance program that began March 10.
