Wildcare Center Tours

Come and get a closer look at San Rafael's wildlife and natural environment at one of the Wildcare Center Tours. Class groups get a nose-to-nose view of native birds, reptiles and mammals in engaging programs tailored to meet the learning needs of each age group. Each program is taught by a professional teacher and naturalist. Group Tours Programs are also available to groups other than schools and classes, such as senior and scouts.

Each tour group is introduced to the non-releasable wild animals in the center's courtyard and exhibit hall. These animals are the center's Wildlife Ambassadors and all of them have survived injury and rehabilitation but would be unable to fend for themselves in the wild. Programs are then tailored according to grades or animal/environment badges.

Tours are available generally on Wednesdays from 9:30am - 2:30pm for a 75-minute presentation. All tours must be arranged in advance. To schedule a tour please contact Education Coordinator, Anya Pamplona.
