Student Use of Facebook and Other Media -- A Parent Education Workshop

The Marin County Office of Education will present a workshop to educate parents and school staff on the impact of social networking, both good and bad, on our children.

Digital media and technology play an enormous role in the lives and learning of our children. Kids today spend 45 hours per week with media and technology and some media messages and content can be harmful or inappropriate for kids of different ages.

This workshop aims to empower parents, teachers and children to take control of technology to ensure a safe learning environment. Age-based media reviews and information will be provided so that parents can make smart choices about the media in their student’s lives.
