Pre, Peri and Post: Laugh and Learn About Women's Sexual Health

The Koret-Taube Center for Jewish Life at the Osher Marin JCC brings a hot news flash: Dr. Sandi Altman, a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist, will co-host Pre, Peri and Post: Laugh and Learn About Women’s Sexual Health, a hilarious and illuminating talk based on the latest research about the hormonal and emotional changes endured by women mid-life and how these changes impact sexual desire. Joanne Greene, Director of the Koret-Taube Center for Jewish Life, will preface the talk with a discussion on what Judaism teaches about women’s sexuality. Included in the event, a humorous montage of old and newer television commercials advertising tampons will be shown. Guests are asked to bring unopened packages of sanitary products that will be donated to local shelters. In lieu of receiving an honorarium, Dr. Altman asked that a donation be made to a charity selected by the Osher Marin JCC, which is Shalom Bayit, Bay Area Jewish Women Working to End Domestic Violence (www.shalom-bayit.org).
