New Class for Divorced or Separated Parents

New Class for Divorced or Separated Parents begins May 25

Due to increased demand, Family Service Agency of Marin has added a new session of Parenting Apart Classes for divorced or separated families. The class will begin Wednesday, May 25 and meet every Wednesday for six sessions from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Classes are offered for a sliding-scale fee that ranges between $15 and $40.

Research has shown that the level of conflict between separated or divorced parents directly affects children’s development and mental health. Parenting Apart helps separated or divorced parents learn skills that help their children manage the challenges and conflicts of a changing family.  Parents attend classes separately, although both parents are encouraged to participate at some point. The next class is scheduled to begin in September.
