Candidates' Training for potential 2011 and 2012 Marin and Sonoma races -- San Rafael City Council Chambers

Interactive workshop on what you need to know if you are considering running for office, helping someone run for office, or just want to be a more informed voting citizen.   Elected officials will talk about their time in office; experienced trainers will help you decide whether a run is in your future and what it might look like; there will be tips on fundraising, crafting and delivering your message, dealing with the unexpected and a special talk on What the heck is going on with Redistricting by Richard Rubin.  Will the Congressional or Assembly boundaries change? And if so, how?  Open to all.
