Michael Hingson to Speak at Saint Mark's School

Michael Hingson is the author of Thunder Dog: The True Story of a Blind Man, His Guide Dog, and the Triumph of Trust at Ground Zero. He will speak and sign copies of his book, which will be on sale, on Wednesday, November 30.

Mr. Hingson has spoken to thousands of people around the world, at corporations, universities, and nonprofit organizations, bringing warmth and humor to his riveting story of a life spent with a perceived disability that became an advantage during the September 11, 2001, attacks on the World Trade Center. He escaped from the 78th floor of Tower 1 and led many others to safety by working together with his guide dog, Roselle.

In addition to being a professional presenter on the topics of diversity and inclusion, Mr. Hingson serves as the ambassador for the Braille Literacy Campaign, is on the board of Whistlestop Wheels, and has served as the Director of External Relations for Guide Dogs for the Blind. With a degree in physics, he previously had a successful career in technology sales management.
