Meet Author Erica Brown, Ph.D.

Madoff. Spitzer. Abramoff. Why are so many high-profile Jews in the media for all the wrong reasons? Why do we feel uncomfortable about wrongdoings we personally didn't commit? As part of the Center for Jewish Life at the Osher Marin JCC, Dr. Erica Brown, author of Confronting Scandal: How Jews Can Behave When Jews Do Bad Things, will give a guest lecture that will look back at Jewish history and forward in time to understand how we can manage shame by association, air dirty laundry and return to a higher purpose using Jewish texts, contemporary psychology and philosophy, and good old-fashioned common sense.
