Marin Girls Chorus Classes

Marin Girls Chorus (MGC) is the oldest children's chorus in Marin and is dedicated exclusively to girls. Founded in 1988 by Martha Wall, MGC has grown into a dynamic group of girls, in grades K-12, from all over Marin County. Girls with natural, clear voices, ability to sing on pitch, and a desire to learn a wide variety of music are welcome to join our program.

Four levels of classes are offered to suit all ages and abilities. Music theory, note reading, voice training, and ear training are an integral part of the weekly classes. Choristers are also introduced to rhythm and percussion instruments as part of their music instruction.

There are many performance opportunities throughout the school year including our winter and spring concerts, community events, retirement homes, holiday festivals, schools, and civic organizations.

Marin Girls Chorus imparts the true art of choral singing, which, once learned, brings a lifetime of enjoyment.
