Improving Israel's Media Image: A Radical Approach with Aryeh Green, Director of MediaCentral

The Koret Taube Center for Jewish Peoplehood at the Osher Marin JCC, in association with the Jewish Community Relations Council and The Israel Center, presents Improving Israel’s Media Image: A Radical Approach with Aryeh Green, Director of MediaCentral. This audio-visual presentation and lecture will ask the question “Does Israel get a fair shake in the media?” as Green presents evidence of how the worldwide press depicts the nation. Participants will learn methods to promote accuracy and fairness in journalism and hear about a radically different-and-successful approach of embracing reporters rather than attacking them. Guests from all backgrounds are invited to attend.

About Aryeh Green

Currently, Aryeh Green serves as the director of MediaCentral, a Jerusalem-based project providing support services to foreign journalists in Israel. Green has spent 17 years in business, mostly high-tech, including various executive management positions and consulting work for public and private Israeli companies, including ECI Telecom, Aladdin, Lannet, Bank HaPoalim, Pfizer, AudioCodes, and others.

Green is the former managing director of the G3 Associates business consulting firm in Jerusalem and former policy advisor to Natan Sharansky. Most Green recently served as a senior member of minister Sharansky’s staff in the prime minister’s office, responsible for contacts with Palestinian and other Arab democracy activists as well as for relations with ‘next generation’ Jewish leaders and public diplomacy efforts.
