, in partnership with the Marin County Athletic League (MCAL), Marin School Nurses Organization (MSNO), 16th District PTA and Marin Brain Injury Network, are providing an opportunity for parents and educators to learn more about this topic and participate in the “Heads Up” forum.
This will be an opportunity for all to understand what a concussion is, what to do if a child has hit their head, what the schools currently do in these situations, what are current best practices for handling, what is current legislation and more.
Dr. Eric Scher, MD, local pediatrician and Pediatric Hospitalist at Marin General will be the lead presenter, in addition to representatives from the MSNO, MCAL, and the Marin Brain Injury Network.
