Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)

Next CERT Basic Training is in San Rafael on 5 Tuesday evenings 6-9 pm at San Rafael Fire Dept. on 3rd Street.

April 3-May 1st.

Have you ever wondered if you would be able to put out a fire using a fire extinguisher? Or know how to splint a broken arm? Have you wondered how that regular guy actually lifted a refrigerator off an injured person? Join us in the next CERT Basic Training and learn about suppressing fires,first aid , light search & rescue, cribbing  and working as a team in an emergency.

Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)is a national program, now part of Citizens Corp under FEMA. CERTs are volunteers who have gone through a training process that enables them to participate in the public safety response in a community, following a large scale emergency or disaster. Register online at www.marincountycert.org through paypal or print the form & mail it in with a check. Cost is only $45.00.

Be a good neighbor and become an emergency volunteer and a Disaster Service Worker. It only takes 15 hours!
