As you prepare for the holiday celebration season & approach the New Year, San Rafael Police Department's Alcohol Compliance Team (SR ACT) wants to remind you and your loved ones to be mindful! San Rafael ACT is currently implementing effective enforcement activities that decrease the problems associated with excessive drinking. They are strictly enforcing underage drinking laws in local establishments and at house parties through bar walk-thrus, minor decoy operations and party patrols. They are also keeping our streets safe by actively enforcing DUIs through DUI checkpoints and DUI patrols.
These activities will continue to ensure that the business community and residents follow laws which have been put in place to protect the health and safety of our community.

- Ensure no one under 21 drinks in your home or establishment
- Designate a driver
- Call a local cab company or ask your server to call one for you
- Anonymously report drunk drivers, underage drinking parties, or other violations in San Rafael by calling the SRPD’s non-emergency phone line: (415) 485-3000
