ACTing Together for a Healthier & Safer San Rafael: SRPD Op-ED in Marin IJ

San Rafael Police Chief Diana Bishop shared her voice this week in the Marin Independent Journal about the importance of a healthier & safer San Rafael with the San Rafael Alcohol Compliance Team (SR ACT) program:

"The San Rafael Police Department is participating in a nationwide initiative aimed at increasing alcohol safety and awareness among youth and young adults, targeting those 12-25 years of age. The department's Alcohol Compliance Team (SR ACT) will continue to implement effective enforcement activities that change the conditions in our community that lead to underage drinking, that promote health, and that decrease the impacts of excessive drinking. The San Rafael Police Department is committed to the safety of all members of our community. We are doubly committed to our youth and young adults. It is our intent to prevent underage and excessive drinking through heavy enforcement and educational outreach. We also depend on responsible adults to assist us in our efforts." -Chief of Police Diana Bishop
