My Easter sermon titled "Freedom", lead me to reread a favorite poet of mine named Mary Oliver. In one poem she wrote, “what will you do with this one wild and precious life of yours”. For many people that answer is to remain captive to relationships, behaviors, attitudes, addictions, or beliefs that prevent us from living this one wild and precious life.
Easter is about FREEDOM! Freedom from self captivity, isolation, brokenheartedness and feeling your life is lived in shards and fragments. The Easter message is more than just being made little bit better, it is about being made anew as a beloved child God!
