Church People Can Have Fun...Really?

Church People Have Fun and a Sense of Humor Too!

I am here to say that despite some widely held beliefs, some deserved, some not, church people can have fun!  And believe it or not, we have a sense of humor too!

I understand that some loud, conservative and controversial voices paint all Christians in the same light, as unkind, and not thoughtful to differences. I am here to say that is not true, at least most of the time. When the wacko minister predicted the end of the world last year, I cringed because he is bonkers and makes us all look nuts.

I am here to say we are fun!   And we have brains too. And we use them. And we like it when you use yours.

When you come to St. Luke you don’t have to check your brain at the door. We like it when you bring your brain with you. It is better for all of us!

St. Luke is having a community bar-be-que and music?  Why?  I am glad you asked.  For these reasons…to have fun, eat good food, drink good wine  and beer and listen to good music.  That’s it!  It is a great way  to kickoff summer.

You are invited to come  to St. Luke’s Summer Concert on June 9, at 3:00.  It’s FREE. What’s not to love?

It's an afternoon of music, good food and drink, music, relaxation, music, laughter, music, bar-be-que by Andy's Market, music, admiring the view, music, wiggling your toes in the grass, music, gentle breezes, Andy's Idol contest, and of
course -- there's always the music by local musicians, the Glenwood Gents, and
others.

See you Saturday at St. Luke.
