On Friday the Fortnight Collective hosted ARTbreak Day at the plaza on Fourth Street in downtown San Rafael where they invited the public to take a break and make art.
Mothers and children showed up Friday morning making art under two canopies at the plaza. This is the third annual ARTbreak day and the first one hosted by the
Fortnight Collective. They are a women's art collective focused on
creating dialogue through art on issues affecting our communities.
Groups holding ARTbreak Day events provide free art materials. The ARTbreak Day website stated events would be held in towns and cities across the world. More information on ARTbreak Day can be found at www.artbreakday.com.
