San Rafael’s Priciest Homes: 160 Oak View

Every week, we feature one of the most expensive homes for sale in San Rafael.

This spectacular Los Ranchitos home is located in an enclave of architecturally significant homes built by Brent Dickens.

With timeless design, imported materials and stunning finishes, this home exemplifies superior craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail. Exciting and bold, this sophisticated home is a must see for those who love distinctive architecture. Just a 15-20 minute drive to the Golden Gate Bridge makes this an easy commute.

The house, built in 1992, has three bedrooms, four bathrooms and sits on a half-acre parcel.

The listed price is $1,850,000.

The property is represented by Pacific Union International. For details visit the house’s AOL Real Estate page.

Being so much wood it would burn too easily. Better to buy a stone house on the east cost.

Why not talk about the most affordable and ecologically conscious homes in San Rafael? "The priciest" homes are generally rather dull, pompous, and over-priced.

Ditto, Susan!

This article is probably a favor for the local real estate agents selling expensive homes. My gripe about articles or TV shows about homes that are energy efficient is most of the homes are 3000 sq ft or larger and way over $1 million. Often the upgrades are equal to what I might pay in utilities for 20 or 30 years. I'd like to see articles on middle income houses made more efficient at an affordable price.
