{Give the baseball agreement your mid-year review in our poll and comments below.}
The Albert Park Advisory Committee will conduct a mid-season review of the city's agreement between Centerfield Partners, LLC. regarding the use of the park's field and stadium for minor league baseball games.
The seven-member advisory committee, which includes three members from the adjacent neighborhood, a downtown business owner, two members of Centerfield Partners and someone from the Park and Recreation Commission, will present a mid-season and an evaluation at the end of the year. They will discuss everything from traffic and parking to noise and alcohol sales at a public meeting on Monday, July 16.
San Rafael resident Ellen Obstler, who sits on the committee, has been to two Pacifics games since the season began. Most of the complaints received were regarding noise, but the police department has addressed any issues as the season goes along, she said.
Although Obstler did not want to comment on what might happen in Monday's meeting, she did say that her personal opinion is that the baseball games are "a positive thing for San Rafael."
"[When I was at the games] I couldn't have been prouder to be a part of something like the Pacifics," she said.
