Brockbank Outlines Campaign Strategy at Kickoff Party

The mayoral candidate and volunteers will begin going door to door for votes.

If you hear a knock on your door in the coming weeks, it might be a supporter of Greg Brockbank urging you to vote for the San Rafael vice mayor in November.

At his election kickoff party on Sunday, Brockbank told San Rafael residents that he and a small army of volunteers will be going door to door as part of his campaign for the mayor's seat.

Brockbank said he hopes to "take the Council in a new direction" by allowing all council members to agendize an item, not just the mayor, and empowering local businesses and neighborhoods.

"I thought he showed great courage to stand up in that sitauation and listen to our small businesses," Connolly said.

The vice mayor was recently critized in a Marin Independent Journal editorial for "making it sound like San Rafael was leading the way on pension reform" when the city borrowed money a while back to pay for pension obligations.
