One eucalyptus tree was chain-sawed in half and limbs from other trees were trimmed at McNears Beach Park in the unincorporated waterfront area off Point San Pedro Road.
Marin County Sheriff's Deputy Robert McDaniel said it is not known exactly when the trees were cut but rangers stumbled upon the vandalism this week and alerted authorities.
McDaniel said no witnesses have come forward with information about the incident. Homes in the exclusive area are valued for their views of the San Francisco Bay.
