All lanes of northbound U.S. Highway 101 in San Rafael have reopened after a 3-car crash that caused an oil spill across lanes of traffic and closed the roadway for nearly three hours, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Two cars and a large box truck collided just before 4 a.m. on Highway 101 near the southbound Central San Rafael off-ramp, according to the CHP.

A large amount of oil spilled as a result of the crash and spread across all four lanes of traffic.
