San Rafael Teen Receives Minor Injuries in Four-Car Collision
Two were injured in a four-car collision on the Golden Gate Bridge Monday.
A 16-year-old from San Rafael was transported to after his VW Jetta was sandwiched between two vehicles in a four-car collision on the Golden Gate Bridge Monday.
The teenager complained of neck pain due to the accident, according to the California Highway Patrol. A 61-year-old passenger in one of the vehicles involved in the crash was transported to California Pacific Medical Center for a fractured wrist.
At approximately 4 p.m. Monday, a 29-year-old man from Rohnert Park driving northbound on Highway 101 collided his Honda Accord into the car in front of him. The collision caused the next four cars to collide, including the VW Jetta, and all the vehicles came to a rest in the lane, CHP said.
Northbound and southbound lanes were closed for approximately 30 minutes while paramedics tended to the injured parties.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
