San Rafael Police Search for Bank Robbery Suspect

The suspect is at large in San Rafael's second bank robbery in roughly two weeks.

 

A man demanded money but didn’t appear armed at San Rafael’s second bank robbery in roughly two weeks, according to the Marin Independent Journal

On Friday evening, just after 5 p.m., a man, described as white and 25 to 35 years old with a medium build, robbed the Westamerica Bank at 1177 Francisco Blvd, according to the IJ. There is no information about a getaway car. The robber was wearing a black beanie, sunglasses and a hooded sweatshirt.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call San Rafael Police at (415) 485-3000 or Crime Stoppers at (800) 222.8477. Callers can remain anonymous. Tips can be made online at www.bayareacrimestoppers.org.

At the end of last month, police arrested a man on suspicion of robbing the Citibank at 666 Third Street.

The robbery occurred on Dec. 20 and the suspect, Jeremiah Clyde Martin, 37, was arrested Dec. 22 at his San Francisco residence, according to the IJ.
