San Rafael Police Pull Dead Body From Canal Waters

A body was found Tuesday morning floating near the docks of homes in the Canal neighborhood. No foul play is suspected.

San Rafael Police officers pulled a dead male from the water Tuesday morning near the docks of homes in San Rafael’s Canal neighborhood.

An employee at a nearby business called the police to report the body floating in the water around 10:20 a.m. The San Rafael Police deployed their Rapid Rescue Boat to the body within minutes, which was found in the water near Canal Street and Kerner Blvd. The victim appeared to have been in the water too long to warrant attempts to resuscitate him, according to police officials.
