San Anselmo Man Cops Plea in Child Sex Case, Report says

Max Eli Rubinstein will have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

A San Anselmo man on Monday pleaded guilty to multiple sex crimes involving a girl who was 15 when the first of several alleged incidents occurred, the Marin Independent Journal reports.

Max Eli Rubinstein, 26, pleaded guilty to charges of statutory rape, using a minor to pose in pornographic images and possession of child pornography, the report said.

Rubinstein's sentencing is scheduled for March 11, according to the report.

Rubinstein will have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life, the report said.

Rubinstein met his victim at St. Hilary School in Tiburon, where he worked in an afterschool program. The victim was a high school student when the alleged incidents occurred, the report said.

The victim told authorities that Rubinstein forced her to have oral sex on two to four occasions over an approximately 11-month period that began in December 2010, according to the report. She was 15 at the time of the first alleged incident.

Authorities said Rubinstein made unspecified threats to the girl if she told anyone, the report said.

Rubinstein was arrested on Jan. 28 of last year and bailed out shortly afterwards, the report said.
