Robbery Suspect Detained by Petaluma Police

Man with a warrant out for his arrest is found hiding in a boat storage facility.

Police in Petaluma arrested a man Sunday evening who is linked to an attempted robbery in San Rafael.

Officers spotted Daniel Stolz, 52, of Petaluma, in front of his home at 683 Draco Drive at about 5:10 p.m., police said. Before the officers made contact with Stolz, he fled the area, according to police.

With help from a Petaluma police dog and handler, Stolz was found hiding in a boat at a nearby boat storage facility, police said. He was arrested without incident and later released to the San Rafael police, which had a warrant for his arrest.
